Driver wanted for a full time position delivering concrete cutting equipment to London and the surrounding areas.

You must have a clean licence and be able to tow. Experience preferred.  

You must have a flexible approach and positive focus.

Duties include loading of vans, loading of trailers and unloading on sites, dropping plant to various sites, collecting plant and returning to the yard.

Hours are 6am until finish.

You must be willing to work weekends and overtime as required.

You will be working as part of a team and will assist in the yard when necessary.

Salary dependant on AAE.

Experienced Heavy Plant Fitter

John F Hunt Plant Hire Ltd have a vacancy for an Experienced Heavy Plant Fitter based in Grays Essex.

The Role

You will be a Workshop / Mobile Fitter, working within the Hydraulic Attachment division of the Company.  You will be servicing, repairing and maintaining a wide range of construction plant. Knowledge of hydraulics is essential.

Key responsibilities

  • Servicing, repairing and modifying all types of heavy construction plant machinery including hydraulic breakers and attachments.
  • To manage administration tasks and complete all service and repair records accurately
  • Work well under pressure and retain a positive attitude to customer service
  • Maintain Health and Safety to Company and HSE regulations
  • Complete any necessary paperwork


  • Experience of working with Construction Plant and machinery is essential
  • Knowledge of diesel engines and hydraulics
  • Analytical approach to problem solving
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • UK driving licence
  • FLT licence an advantage

NVQ Level 2 in plant maintenance or equivalent is desirable, but not essential as relevant experience will be taken into account.

Salary: Competitive according to experience.

Workshop Foreman

John F Hunt Power the leading independent Generator Hire Company have a vacancy for a WORKSHOP FOREMAN at the GRAYS ESSEX DEPOT.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience within the generator hire Industry, and possess a demonstrable technical knowledge of diesel generators.

The key responsibilities of this role will be the efficient running of the workshop, which will include, but not be limited to; staff management, efficient cost management of spares and repairs to equipment and ensuring full compliance with the Company’s rules and procedures.

This is a hands-on position and not office based, therefore the ideal candidate will spend the majority of the working day on the workshop floor attending to repairs and servicing as well as assisting and managing both yard and field based service engineers in their daily duties.

Full UK driving license is essential.
