John F Hunt Wins CONSTRUCT Health and Safety Award 2021

8th October 2021

On the 1st of October CONSTRUCT ran its annual Awards, recognising excellence, capability, and innovations in concrete construction. John F Hunt were shortlisted, attended the event and won the prestigious Health and Safety award!

We were victorious with our Competency Cloud System – a revolutionary software that uses a QR codes displayed on the hard hats of all operatives on sites.

The code is issued at induction and when scanned with a mobile device, displays all the operative’s competencies such as CSCS, CPCS, IPAF, working at height etc, as well as showing their expiry dates.

The QR codes are linked to the company cloud-based training matrix. The matrix itself has additional features such as when competencies are uploaded, they are automatically cross-referenced with CITB’s card checker, providing protection from fraudulent documents.

This also ensures issues such as lost cards are no longer a problem, as the operatives CSCS or card registration details are also logged and cross-checked with the online card databases.

Congratulations to the John F Hunt team for their incredible work, especially Richard Sanders (John F Hunt Health and Safety Leader) and Paul Wightman (John F Hunt Health and Safety Advisor) and a very special thank you to Annie Hall (Group Training Coordinator) for doing such a brilliant job! Well done everyone.
