London Lifting Solutions During the 2012 London Olympics, Westfield was home to BMW’s flagship store. At the year-end, we were approached by L & G Signs to design a lifting plan to dismantle BMW’s sensitive sign on the façade of the shopping center—a mini cooper. Our plan involved creating a de-rig programme, and project management of the process.
Thameside Lifting, part of the John F Hunt Group provided the specialist spider crane and operators; and the loose lifting gear involved with the connections to the mini cooper underside box section. Through extensive preparation and risk and method statements, we ensured a flawless de-rig, leaving both our client and Westfield Shopping centre happy with minimal disruption to operations.
