Our Group Management Accountant, Samantha Irvine, recently completed a Cold Water Dip Challenge in support of Refuge, raising funds for the charity that helps women and children escape domestic abuse and rebuild their lives.
Taking place on International Women’s Day, which also happened to be Samantha’s birthday, she chose to celebrate in a slightly different way this year by swapping birthday cake for icy water and taking the plunge for a cause that matters.
Cold water dipping is not for the faint-hearted, and Samantha already knew just how freezing it could be after trying it before. Still, she stepped up to the challenge to raise awareness and vital funds for Refuge and the incredible work they do every day. Refuge provides specialist support and safe accommodation to women and children experiencing domestic abuse, helping them find safety, rebuild confidence and move forward with their lives.
Samantha’s challenge is a great reminder that even small actions can make a big difference. We are incredibly proud of her for taking on the challenge and supporting such an important cause.
