John F Hunt Hire Services, incorporating Hire Centres, Plant Hire, Power Services and Thameside Lifting, is pleased to announce that we have achieved registration to ISO 14001:2004 (Environmental) and BS OHSAS 18001:2007 (Occupational Health & Safety).
The above registrations have been developed to comply with the ISO 9001:2008 (Quality) registration awarded to Hire Services in October 2012 to facilitate an Integrated Management System. The establishment of these systems has enabled our Hire Services division to review all of our business and operational processes, and implement a robust approach to our business practices.
The OHSAS 18001 specification details requirements for an occupational health and safety (OH&S) management system, and will enable us to control our OH&S risks and improve our Health & Safety performance. The standard ensures that all aspects of our business are considered and managed. ISO 14001 is an international standard that reassures our Hire Services clients that we have provided evidence to an independent UKAS accredited body.
It ensures that we pursue a programme of continuous improvement, and provide an environmentally-friendly service. It guarantees that John F Hunt takes a proactive approach to environmental compliance and protection to ensure a sustainable future. Achieving these registrations has involved considerable time and effort from our employees, but we believe our customers will derive many benefits from our efforts.
