John F Hunt Demolition undertook a 100 Ton Crane lift for raising new demolition equipment onto the 7th floor at the Tottenham Court Road project.
Following the briefing, the team commenced positioning the Mobile Crane and outrigger mats in their correct locations clear of any service manholes or neighbouring basement walls.
Once the crane was set-up and all checks performed, the communication via radio between the Banksman and the Crane operator began. Up went the 20 Ton Excavator, followed by three 5 Ton machines to help speed up the removal of concrete, since the 2nd building would soon be available for demolition. All machines were safely deposited on the 7th floor and work began immediately.
