Ferrous Scanning
Sometimes it is necessary to find the position of hidden metals within a concrete
structure without any intrusive or damaging investigations, making verification
extremely difficult.
John F Hunt’s Ferrous Scanner enables the non-destructive inspection of structures,
identification of objects and rebar, whilst providing concrete cover measurements
and pinpoint positioning for drilling.
Scanned data is automatically recorded over lengths of up to 30 metres and
depths up to 100mm, displaying a clear 2D image for on-the-spot structural analysis
and depth of cover assessment.
It is invaluable for:
• Rebar verification and analysis of any structures
• Checking concrete cover over large areas for structural repair work
• Avoiding costly rebar hits and damage caused by cutting through
structurally significant reinforcement when coring and hammer drilling
• The generation of structural assessment reports including statistics and
visual presentation in 2D/3D views of areas of up to 45 x 45m
