After months of hard work, John F Hunt Power are delighted to announce the opening of a new 6.5-acre depot in Aldridge, representing a significant milestone in the company’s continued expansion.
This new facility replaces the former Halesowen depot in Fairfield Park and provides an enhanced operational base to support the growing needs of their clients across the region.
Morris Machinery, which has been part of the John F Hunt Group since 2022, will also relocate to Aldridge from its current location in Shrewsbury.
Situated in the Westgate Industrial Estate, the depot will accommodate the increasing demand for temporary power solutions, including the latest Stage V generators, innovative battery technology, and state-of-the-art flywheel systems.
The expansive new site offers increased workshop capacity and boasts almost 15,000 sq.ft of office space, which will facilitate John F Hunt Power’s continued development of key business support units, including a market-leading and expanding technical department, engine refurbishment program and fuel management services provided by the John F Hunt Fuels team.
The investment reflects the long-term commitment to innovation and sustainable growth whilst the increased space will enhance both business’s ability to deliver services with safety at the heart of their operation, with dedicated testing areas, upgraded maintenance facilities and efficient logistics and site traffic programs already in place.
Joint Managing Director David Hunt said, “Fairfield Road in Halesowen has been the home for our Midlands depot since 2013.
In recent years, our business has experienced significant changes, as both our fleet of equipment and the value-added services we offer our clients have expanded. This new depot in Aldridge provides us with a fantastic strategic base from which to operate.
The additional space will enable us to create a fantastic environment for our team to work in and ensure that we can continue to offer our clients the best possible service. It also provides us with the space we need to conduct research and development into new technologies, as we strive to drive innovation within the temporary power market.
For Morris Machinery, the move represents a significant milestone. We have been looking for a suitable new home for Morris ever since they joined the John F Hunt Group three years ago. Having colleagues from both businesses working under the same roof will allow for even more cohesion across both companies, driving innovation and best practices.”
This development is part of a broader investment programme across the businesses, aligning with their unwavering commitment to service excellence, fleet modernisation, and driving the future of temporary power applications.
The teams at both John F Hunt Power and Morris Machinery look forward to welcoming customers, suppliers, and colleagues to the new Aldridge depot as the next chapter of their growth begins.
Keep an eye out in the New Year for updates on the official opening day!
