We are delighted to share that John F Hunt has been recognised with two prestigious wins at this year’s Construction News Specialists Awards, celebrating the industry’s best achievements!
A special thanks goes to our Health and Safety Leader, Richard Sanders, and the rest of the team for upholding our high standards across all projects and ensuring safety remains at the forefront of everything we do.
We also proudly won the Project of the Year Award by a Specialist Contractor (subcontract up to £2 million), specifically for the ground-breaking technique used to demolish a Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (RAAC) structure. This pioneering project also involved the removal of asbestos and required expert planning, specialist technical knowledge, and innovative problem-solving skills. The judges highlighted how our team successfully delivered the project and shared the information across the industry, thereby setting benchmarks for addressing similar challenges in the future.
These achievements build on our tremendous success from last year, when we proudly secured the Health and Safety Award at the 2024 CN Specialists Awards. To win in this category two years running shows that our commitment to safety is more than just recognition – it’s embedded in our culture and driven by the people behind it.
In addition to these two wins, we were also shortlisted as finalists for Demolition & Enabling Specialist of the Year and Outstanding Contribution to Sustainability – further recognition of our talent, innovation, and drive across the Group.
