The Control of Asbestos Regulations requires employers to make sure anyone liable to disturb asbestos during their work, or who supervises such employees, receives the correct level of information, instruction and training to enable them to carry out their work safely and completely and without risk to themselves or others.

Competence is developed over time by implementing and consolidating skills learnt during training, on the job learning, instruction and assessment.

Through our appraisal and training needs analysis process, all of our employees whether directly or indirectly associated with the management or removal of asbestos, undergo primary and refresher asbestos training annually, through a programme of continuous personal development. This ensures that they have the required skill set and competency levels to carry out their work safely and that they have a complete understanding and are compliant with the current Asbestos Regulations.

Training focuses on their particular occupation and is developed in accordance with our Asbestos Management Training Policies and those requirements detailed within the HSE Document HSG247 Asbestos: The licensed Contractors Guide.

New employees receive the Company Induction Process and the required training is then established in relation to their job descriptions, roles and responsibilities.
