Overview

The successful delivery of the works at 39 East Road was made possible through our extensive knowledge and expertise in constructing deep basements and slip form cores, as well as our strong working relationships within London Underground.

Relevant Experience

The project scope encompassed the demolition of existing structures on site, installation of secant and bearing piles in close proximity to LU tunnels, creation of a 14m deep basement box, and construction of a 22-storey slip form core along with a 6-storey podium structure.
Utilising our in-house specialist delivery model, we were able to seamlessly coordinate all aspects of the project from design to handover to the main contractor. This streamlined approach not only saved time but also resulted in significant cost savings compared to the client's original main contractor procurement route.
Given the site's proximity to the London Underground Northern Line tunnel, obtaining all necessary approvals and conducting ongoing monitoring of the tunnel throughout the project were crucial aspects of our operations.
The site was also surrounded by residential buildings, prompting us to maintain early engagement and open dialogue to ensure minimal nuisance to the surrounding community.
The successful completion of 39 East Road exemplifies our commitment to excellence, combined package delivery, and effective collaboration with stakeholders to deliver outstanding results.
