Martin joined John F Hunt Demolition as the Estimating Director with 18 years of experience in the construction industry, which includes 12 years specialising in demolition.
Committed, focused and self-motivated, Martin’s expertise is working on complex, large, inner city schemes from initial budget and feasibility stage, right through to project delivery and agreement of the final account. He is recognised as a point of expert knowledge in the demolition industry and works to support and assist peers and younger colleagues in this area.
Previously skilled as a Lead Cost Manager, he was responsible for providing key commercial, programme and methodology advice to clients and stakeholders. Principal tasks included estimating, tendering, bid preparation, negotiations, procurement, commercial management and administration of live demolition projects.
In his role as Commercial Manager, Martin dealt with all commercial aspects of the demolition division of a large construction group, from bidding and tender stage, through to completion of the project and agreement of the final account.
Indeed Martin returns to John F Hunt Demolition having been previously employed as the Commercial Manager for six years focusing on demolition projects up to £4.5m. He was then promoted to the role of Director for a further two years at the company, leading the operational and commercial delivery of demolition projects, from initial tender and award, through to handover and agreement of the final account.
His in-depth knowledge and vast experience in the business sees him as an important member of our senior management team.
